Franciacorta
Meeting with our guide, presentation of the day and departure. We enter a fascinating territory, the region of the hills of Franciacorta at the foot of Lake Iseo, an ancient territory where the cultivation of wine has prehistoric origins thanks to the unique and unrepeatable climatic conditions.
The cultivation of the vine has always been a constant, from the Gauls, to the Romans, to the Lombards, from the monastic courts to the Lordships, all the dominations united by a single common thread, wine. The main grape varieties are Chardonnay for Franciacorta DOCG, Pinot Noir for Millesimati and DOCG Riserva, Pinot Bianco for Cuvee and Erbamat, an autochthonous vine.
We will walk along the southern shores of Lake Iseo and we will go along the Franciacorta Road to discover places, stories and landscapes, we will know Abbeys and Castles, we will have the opportunity and the opportunity to visit wine cellars, farmhouses and places of incomparable beauty where we can taste the noble wines and local products. In the late afternoon return to your hotel, or you can choose the option (suggested) of an overnight stay in a farmhouse in the middle of the vineyards of Franciacorta, with a special dinner and a night walk through the vineyards.
